I am in love....

Yes it's me again.. what is going on .. 3 posts in 24 hours.. steady on girl... it's not Christmas just yet!
I just had to show you my wonderful new purchase and tell you about Nicky at The Vintage Magpie..go see!
Nicky makes the dearest little bears and bunnies amongst other lovely items and I was completely smitten by her bunnies.. being a bit of a bunny fancier on the sly!!

Well my dear little friend arrived just minutes ago so beautifully wrapped in tissue and ribbons ..and so here she is....looking and smelling so sweet....

.. She is filled with lavender and her name is 'Kitty Old Rabbit'..The label reads .. She loves warm milk and custard, but hates cold beds and loud music..

Well I can assure you she will have a warm bed and I will turn the amp down when my man cranks up his vintage guitars!

Thank you so much Nicky... you clever girl... !!

Aren't Nicky's bunnies and bears gorgeous? I tried to order one of the bears but was too late. It had already gone. Nicky very kindly said she could make another one but I then had guilty feelings that I shouldn't really be spending my money right now buying bears for myself when I have Christmas presents for other people to buy! So for now I will be restrained. Perhaps next time she puts a batch up for sale I will think of getting one. Hope your little bunny settles in well. Thanks for the email by the way. Will try to reply later.

Michele your little bunny is very cute, I have put The Vintage Magpie in my favourites to visit sometime in the near future. I just had a quick look and her style reminds me very much of Wendy Boston bears etc from the 50s and 60s, do you remember these? Louise x

Hi me again, I just read the comment about your little bunny not liking loud music, I have my music set on maximum volume so the little bunny would not want to live with me, not unless it comes with its own set of little earmuffs. I too have a cold bed, I hate warm milk but love custard especially the skin! Louise x

Hi Michele, we have another similarity! I was so interested to hear about your dear mum being a dealer in antique toys, my lovely mum was a dealer in all sorts of antique and collectable items, it was her who had a Wendy Boston bear which she used to sit on her bed, I must ask my step-dad if he knows what happened to it, knowing Mum she probably sold it and replaced it with something else! No these are not my bears, I took the photo out of my book on bears, I do have one Steiff miniature bear and two lovely Merrythought gollies. Louise x

Hi again Michele, I would love to put a photo of my gollies onto my blog but I have been in two minds, as you say they are not PC and I would not want to offend anyone or receive any offensive comments. About a year ago a shop in Worthing who sold Merrythought gollies had to take them out of the window because some people were complaining. I am in the mind that people who collect gollies and want them in their homes, love them not hate them, I can't see any problem in that? Louise x
