One step forward two steps back.....

I have decided to paint a cross on our front door... No... it isn't a minimalist Christmas Wreath.. rather a warning to all approaching our household, that it is condemned! We have all succumbed to this hacking cough and not only would a visitor be at risk of catching this nasty virus but is more at danger of becoming profoundly deaf by the high decibels of coughing!
I am sick of it now and just want to press fast forward... not a patient patient!

I would like to say a big sincere THANK YOU to all of you who joined in my Luuuurve survey and chose your favourite Valentines from my previous selection.. It is interesting to see your choices and I have made note of the popular ones..
It seems to me that 'Well Hello Little Missy...' is a thumbs up followed closely by Love Letter..

I am really wanting to get into the Christmas spirit and have not set foot outside or rather ventured near a retail outlet for a week now.. must be a record! I have avoided the pre-Christmas scrum in town and just watched from my ivory tower and made LOTS of lists... these may well end up in the recycling bin..
I am, however, getting into the spirit by holding another Christmas Giveaway Draw in the next few days... Watch this space..
I just have to put the finishing touches to the prize... any guesses... no it is not a gift wrapped Pickles but he would be quite glad to leave home with all this plague around him!

I will leave you with this... just a little sparkle to brighten your day....

I hope you are all well and bright eyed and bushy tailed out there!

Sorry to hear that you're all suffering. I think I'll be painting a cross on my door too (nice and pink and sparkly!). My oldest daughter has gone back to school today and is finally better, I was awake all night coughing and, the icing on the cake, my youngest was sick just as we were leaving for school this morning!! Thanks for the concern re my ribs! Is there room in that ivory tower for one more? Hope you all get better soon and I love the new creation

Oh poor you. It sounds very similar to the thing I had a few weeks ago and the cough really is nasty. I think being up in your tower looking down on all the mad Christmas shoppers in the town sounds like the best place to be. Do you think you'll be well enough for Saturday? Love that beautiful frame.

That's beautiful, really.
Sorry to see you're still bad. I had it a while ago and it's a real stinker, took ages to feel 'right' again. Keep taking those paracetamol! x

Michele, the first sentence of your post made me laugh, I wish you wouldn't keep doing this to me, especially when I have just taken in a huge mouthful of cold tea! My dream is to have a little shop, if I do, I am definitely getting one of those Sorry, Were Open signs, I think that is just hilarious. Seriously though I don't know how you are keeping your spirits up, a few years back I caught a really horrible bug coming home from Crete, I completely lost my voice and had a hacking cough for weeks, it really was the worse bout of germs that I could ever remember having, you must feel awful. I thought Pickles could join in with the Minister's Cat game, I did post this with him in mind, I know he loves to get his little cold nose in on the act. I am looking forward to seeing what is in your next giveway, although going by my postal dates for a parcel we will not be receiving it in time for Christmas? Tell Pickles I am just off to make a sardine sandwich, seriously I really am! x

Michele, it's me again, I noticed the results of your poll, whenever I try to vote on polls it doesn't let me, I tried twice on yours, I would have chosen carrot cake, I am so glad it came out on top. x

Poor thing! It seems to be a nasty one doing the rounds at the moment. Hope you are well enough to do your craft fair.

The new frame is gorgeous.

Will be looking out for your next giveaway!

I dop hope you feel better soon! It is not fun being ill, especially at this time of year!

The frame is gorgeous! I have a thing for lots of pearl buttons and dresden, so I find this one you've made particularly wonderful!

Daaaang...this cold you have has been a "hanger-on", for sure. I know you are sick and tired of it but surely you are on the tail end now. Hang in there and one morning you'll wake up and the cold will be GONE!

Hi Michele,
I forgot to say I have visited Bath Abbey, it is a very peaceful and beautiful place. But then I loved all of Bath.
I hope that you feel better Friday.

Hi Michele,
Hope you get to do some Christmas shopping soon.....
I'm about to venture into the big wide world this morning and come into Bath town centre, having been cocooned indoors for what seems like forever....

Look forward to your giveaway and hope you feel much better for the weekend.
Love Niki
