Quote of the day...

We have a small library of books in our smallest room ...
One of my favourites is called 'Wrinklies' Wit & Wisdom' which holds many witty asides from the famous and the anonymous about getting on a bit!

Today this one appealed to me as I peered nervously into the bathroom mirror to see how many wrinkles had arrived in the night.

"The best anti-ageing cream is ice cream. What other food makes you feel like your're 8 years old again?" Anon

Trust you to come out with this howler, it is great, I shall use this old lame excuse when I am working my way through a tub of Ben & Jerrys!

I'm sure checking for wrinkles gives you wrinkles as you frown when you find one!Love the garden bare bones and all!

Quick, I need a VAT of the stuff then!!! After my visit to the hairdresser's the other day I had to run to buy some new moisturiser, the lights in those places are so unforgiving!!!

Does the Neals Yard frankincense work?
Lovely to see photos of your garden Michele, it looks great already

Hello again! Thanks for your lovely kind words just now. I'm trying Dr Hauschka's rose cream, it's lovely but I think polyfilla is the only way forward!

Great quote, my latest is those Pink & White marshmallow wafer biscuits and they are practically calorie free! I would highly recommend the Neals Yard frankincense, feels lovely on. Also just invested in Liz Earle's hot polish cleanser which smells wonderful. I'd rather smear ice cream on my face though ;)

Hmm not sure about that, ice-cream gives me a tummy ache :-( Loved the photos of your garden, wish mine looked half as nice! Did you post about Lacock? - would be interesting to compare pics.

Hi Lucy
No .. I didn't get round to doing a Lacock post. I took lots of photos but it was a dull day and they didn't really do the place justice. It is a very pretty village and it was nice to see another blogger had visited.

Hi! I have my own way of wrinkle prevention. I have managed to put all tags in one post (just played a bit unfair with regulations...sorry) and you can read about wrinkle prevention there.
Your garden is so pretty, and those walls ah!
Have a nice week! L.

Great quote Michele! and I think
frankincense does work I use the essential oil in any old carrier cream! Too much sun is the worst thing for your skin.....Avoid!!!
I have also found that if you put on a little weight it quickly fills out the wrinkles....lol

Fantastic, but it feels really cold on my face, but it gave my cheeks a real glow....he he. to be honest I'm with Kim on the polyfiller plus sellotape.

It is so true.
I listened to the girls at work talking about where they could get YSL Touche Eclat for only (!) £15.00 instead of the usual £22! I gulped and decided when the wrinkles came, I would be happy to see them and £15 or £22 to the good!

I think I need some injections of that Restinline..is that how it is spelled? You know, the stuff that plumps out the wrinkles! How about shooting my whole body in Botox!?

Let's see...chocolate pie with whipped cream makes me feel young again - the kind my Nanny made from scratch. Oh yummmmm...I need to make a trip to Marie Callandar's for a pie fix (it is a wonderful restaurant chain with homemade style pies). Love, Becky

PS: Forgot to mention the frog pic....now that is hilarious! I am waiting for him to come to the surface decked out in his scubba gear!

Ice cream, yum, we eat it most every night. I make up my own mix of olive oil & evening prim rose oil. It is wonderful, and does wonders for dry spots. My 7 year old had some dry , flaky ,spots on her eyelids, corners near the nose, I tried everything. Then one day I gave the olive oil mix a try. With in days it was gone. Small amounts go a long way. Mostly olive oil about 4 oz., with about 4 drops of prim rose oil. Love your garden, I am so looking forward to SPRING ! amy
