A Vintage Rummage ..

How many households across the nation heave a small sigh of relief once the Christmas decorations are put away for another year and then turn their thoughts to having a jolly good spring clean? Many.. I am certain of that! I, myself, start this process on Boxing Day and yearn for the day when my cluttered home feels more like an oasis of calm and all the flotsam and jetsam that has accrued in every corner, can be cast out.. Well if you feel the same and have some vintage items that wouldn't make the grade on The Antiques Roadshow but are too good to throw in the skip then we have just the place for you to come and re-house your clutter..
Vintage & Handmade Fairs are holding their first 'Vintage Jumble Sale' in the village hall in Rangeworthy, South Gloucestershire on Saturday March 5th. 11- 3.30 p.m Free Admission. Tables spaces are limited so please contact either myself or Jayne if you are interested in having a table and for more information about the event. Those grand British stalwarts.. the W.I will be providing refreshments on the day.. and much bunting will be hung. We hope it will be a great day to have both a good de-clutter and rummage.

Can't wait to have a spring clean - you should see what the room laughably known as the "study" looks like!

Ahhh yes...the good feeling of having the house decluttered from bits and bobs! What a good feeling it is! I opened up a space at a shop to get rid of the things that I no longer wish to have cluttering my life with. Cute stuff, but hey, a girl just has to have a bit of peace and calm in her life - and the old saying goes: less is more!

Wish, wish, wish I could be there for the sale!!! Do let me know if there will be any stuffed scotties thrown in to find a new home. :)

Bet this will be a HUGE success. Sadly the demise of good old fashioned jumble sales has been because of car boots and charity shops but it needs to be resurrected! Hope you have a wonderful time in Coverack - I shall look forward to your blog with photos. I am planning on going down to Helston In February too.

Obviously the Tesco man came before you could tell me of this. Sounds like a good wheeze will have to try and come along. Speak again soon, Jane xx

How did you know my home was like that? It's full of stuff that needs to be cleared out. Shame we live a bit too far away for your sale!

We're back on form now after a bit of respite...will be back to read more.

I am so happy Christmas is tidied away for another year - they are all calling me an old misery at home. The Jumble Sale sounds a brilliant idea. I used to love going to them with my Mum but no-one seems to have them any more and the charity shops around here are not very good. Thanks for sending Alice in Wonderland - its a lovely old copy. Happy New Year. Karen X

Ooh, how lovely, I wish I could come. I feel so much happier now I have made a start on clearing clutter from the loft space, and putting together bags for the charity shop. I know when I went to 'jumblies' years ago with my Mum, we'd manage to find some right little gems! x

Did you get down to Cornwall? I went last week and visited Helston, Falmouth, Penzance and Truro but not dear Coverack. Looking forward to reading about your visit on your blog.

Hi Michele,
I know I owe you an email, but to say things have been stressful at home would be an understatement...I'm looking forward to Saturday and hopefully we may have time for a quick chat instead. Good luck with the final preps,
Love Niki x

Will be thinking of you all having a good old rummage on Saturday, when I'm enjoying every minute of work! Make sure you take lots of pennies (pounds) Michele. x
