I began to want one of my own. Until I realized what goes along with it, the expectations of perfection, the glancing eyes of neighbors measuring themselves against others. And the constant need to keep up. I said out loud, "The houses are nice, but this can't be what it's all about!" You have some beautiful corners in your home - that cupboard on the landing is to die for! I've noticed my own dissatisfaction with my house has increased since I started blogging and there are too many of these programmes showing wonderful and to most of us, unnattainable homes. It's just a tiny proportion and most people don't have those things. They should show some that aren't so lovely, but then who would want to see them. I mainly show only the best bits of my house, there's a lot more I don't like about it. That's one of the reasons I've cut down on my blogging, what I don't see can't make me feel dissatisfied. Some wise words from Prof. Yaffle there! See you in a few weeks at the V&H (panic stations here!)<br />Lucy xLucy Bloomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00101067906181532798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4668025906344987635.post-87222181612693114472009-05-01T11:06:00.000+02:002009-05-01T11:06:00.000+02:00Nobody makes us feel inadequate but ourselves.
